The new CrossCulture Programme module “CCP Focus” 2019 for professionals working in the field of civic education was launched on February, 1st!
The CrossCulture Programme (CCP) offers young professionals and committed volunteers the opportunity to expand their area of professional expertise and to gather intercultural experience through a professional fellowship in Germany. Since 2005 CCP encouraged more than 700 professionals and volunteers working in different civil society sectors. With the CrossCulture Programme ifa offers a platform for intercultural dialogue and exchange among fellows from different countries and regions.Fellowship holders are invited to share their experiences with their professional networks and/or communities in their home country in order to promote the building and maintenance of intercultural relations and cross-national networks. The CrossCulture Programme is funded by the German Federal Foreign Office and implemented by ifa (Institut für Auslandsbeziehungen).
In 2019 CCP decided to set the focus on education, specifically on civic education by launching a new programme module, the “CCP Focus”. This programme module offers 10 fellowships in German organisations specialised in this field of work. “CCP Focus” is an extension of the established and well-proven CCP module for the “Muslim majority countries”. The fellowships are therefore open for applicants from selected countries in the Middle East and North Africa, Central Asia and South Asia who deal with civic education professionally in the narrower or more distant sense. In contrast to the conventional CCP modules, the “CCP-Focus” assignments to German host organisations are not arranged individually according to professional profile and suitability. Instead, there is a pre-selection of 10 fellowship positions, offered by experienced German organisations specialised in the field of civic education, for which interested individuals can apply. Two of these fellowship offers take specifically into account the digital aspects of civic education.
The “CCP Focus”offers the following benefits for fellowship holders:
- General support in the preparation of the professional fellowship in Germany
- Monthly grant of 550 Euro
- Accommodation in Germany (single or shared apartment)
- Health insurance coverage for the period of stay
- Assumption of travel expenses and visa fees
- Supporting programme
Please note that the application deadline is February 28th, 2019.
