NACE is a network that spaces for the active exchange of knowledge and methods to promote civic education in the MENA region and to connect with civic education stakeholders in Europe. NACE was originally founded out of a focus group Exchange between Europe and North Africa as the southern sister network of NECE – Network European Citizenship Education.

By inspiring and engaging a variety of stakeholders to actively participate in constant renewals of the social contract, NACE places the responsibility on itself to contribute to cohesion and communality on local, national, and international levels.
CIVIC EDUCATION CONFERENCES (CEC)
Following the example of the annual NECE conference in Europe, the CEC conference was established in the Arabic-speaking world. The first CEC I was held in Alexandria, Egypt in 2013, the CEC II in Hammamet, Tunisia in 2016. CEC III: The role of civic education for social cohesion was organized for the first time under the leadership of NACE in 2018 in Casablanca, Morocco with more than 250 participants from 40 nations.
