Peaceful, sustainable, successful societies build on the combination of strong institutions and democratic culture that allows all groups and individuals to participate and to be recognized as valid members of society. In times of deep political, economic, and social changes in the Arab region, we believe that Citizenship Education is an important key, as NACE wants to (1) overcome the disconnection between projects and stakeholders in Civic Education, (2) create a knowledge Hub for Civic Education in the region, (3) form a strong community of Civic Education creates synergies between projects and programs.


NACE was originally founded out of a focus group Exchange between Europe and North Africa as the southern sister network of NECE – Network European Citizenship Education.


The network is essentially divided into two entities:

The General Assembly and the elected Executive Board.
